Rohan Basu Roy,Debasish Mishra,Surjya K. Pal,Tapas Chakravarty,Satanik Panda,M. Girish Chandra,Arpan Pal,Prateep Misra,Debashish Chakravarty,Sudip Misra +9 more
TL;DR: A model for implementing DT in a factory has been proposed and a state-of-the-art review on various DTs with their application areas is created.
Journal ArticleDOI
Friction stir welding of polypropylene sheet
Santosh K. Sahu,Debasish Mishra,Raju Prasad Mahto,Vyas Mani Sharma,Surjya K. Pal,Kamal Pal,Susanta Banerjee,Padmanav Dash +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of tool pin geometry on friction stir welding (FSW) of polypropylene sheets has been investigated and the tensile strength of the welds has been determined and correlated with pin profile.
Journal ArticleDOI
Real time monitoring and control of friction stir welding process using multiple sensors
Debasish Mishra,Abhinav Gupta,Pranav Raj,Aman Kumar,Saad Anwer,Surjya K. Pal,Debashish Chakravarty,Srikanta Pal,Tapas Chakravarty,Arpan Pal,Prateep Misra,Sudip Misra +11 more
TL;DR: A novel cloud-based remote and real time monitoring and control scheme has been developed for a manufacturing process named friction stir welding to avoid occurrence of weld defects.
Book ChapterDOI
Friction Stir Welding for Joining of Polymers
TL;DR: In this paper, a detailed study regarding the polymers has been presented and the importance of thermoplastics has also been outlined, including the use of friction stir welding (FSW) for thermoplastic polymers.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Study on Electrical and Electrochemical Characteristics of Friction Stir Welded Lithium-Ion Battery Tabs for Electric Vehicles
TL;DR: In this paper, friction stir welding was used to join copper (Cu) and aluminium (Al) sheets in micro-thickness by using friction stir welders, which achieved an electrical conductivity of 9% less than the base Cu and corrosion resistance of the welded samples has been found to be increasing because of the formation of inter-metallic compounds such as Al4Cu9, AlCu4 and AlCu at the weld interface.
