The effects of age and treatment intensity on behavioral intervention outcomes for children with autism spectrum disorders.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluate the relationship of treatment hours and participant age with the rate of learning within an early intensive behavioral intervention program and find that for children between 2 and 7 years of age, there was a significant increase in new skill acquisition with increased treatment hours.

Symptom severity and challenging behavior in children with ASD

TL;DR: In this article, the authors conducted a regression analysis of relations between endorsement of challenging behaviors and ASD symptom severity, and found that 94% of the sample reported the presence of challenging behavior, stereotypical behaviors were the most commonly reported, and the presence was predicted by ASD severity.
