Analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity of Caryophyllene oxide from Annona squamosa L. bark.

TL;DR: Caryophyllene oxide was isolated from an unsaponified petroleum ether extract of the bark of Annona squamosa and studied for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity and showed significant central as well as peripheral analgesic, along with anti- inflammatory, activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Quality by design approach: Regulatory need

TL;DR: In this paper, a review of the QbD approach, its historical background, and regulatory needs are discussed, in detail explanation of elements of QdD i.e. method intent, design of experiment, and risk assessment is given.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and anti-inflammatory activity of some [4,6-(4-substituted aryl)-2-thioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-pyrimidin-5-yl]-acetic acid derivatives.

TL;DR: A series of [4,6-(substituted aryl)-2-thioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-pyrimidin-5-yl]-acetic acid has been synthesized by the base catalyzed condensation of beta-aroylpropionic acid, thiourea with aldehyde in ethanol.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optimization of microwave, ultra-sonic and supercritical carbon dioxide assisted extraction techniques for curcumin from Curcuma longa

TL;DR: In this article, a bioactive phytochemical, curcumin, was isolated from dried rhizomes of Curcuma longa using Soxhlet, microwave, ultra-sonic and supercritical carbon dioxide assisted extraction techniques.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microwave assisted one pot synthesis of some novel 2,5-disubstituted 1,3,4-oxadiazoles as antifungal agents.

TL;DR: Sodium bisulfite has been reported first time for the synthesis of 2,5-disubstituted 1,3,4-oxadiazole using microwave and conventional method in ethanol-water and some of the compounds were equipotent with miconazole against Candida albicans and Fusarium oxysporum.
