Dietje E. Fransen van de Putte,Krista Fischer,Michael Makris,R. Campbell Tait,Peter William Collins,Karina Meijer,Goris Roosendaal,Pratima Chowdary,Roger E. G. Schutgens,Eveline P. Mauser-Bunschoten +9 more
TL;DR: The prevalence of hypertension was significantly higher in haemophilia patients than in the general population and was associated with overweight/obesity and age, but it was not significantly associated with renal function, a history of renal bleeding or with infection with hepatitis C or HIV.
Journal ArticleDOI
Unfavourable cardiovascular disease risk profiles in a cohort of Dutch and British haemophilia patients
Dietje E. Fransen van de Putte,Krista Fischer,Michael Makris,R. Campbell Tait,Pratima Chowdary,Peter William Collins,Karina Meijer,Goris Roosendaal,Roger E. G. Schutgens,Eveline P. Mauser-Bunschoten +9 more
TL;DR: The results indicate an increased prevalence of hypertension and overall more unfavourable CVD risk profiles in haemophilia patients compared with the general age-matched male population.
Journal ArticleDOI
Long-term follow-up of hepatitis C infection in a large cohort of patients with inherited bleeding disorders
Dietje E. Fransen van de Putte,Michael Makris,Krista Fischer,Thynn Thynn Yee,Lisa Kirk,Karel J. van Erpecum,David Patch,Dirk Posthouwer,Dirk Posthouwer,Eveline P. Mauser-Bunschoten +9 more
TL;DR: After over 30 years of HCV infection, ESLD occurred in a significant proportion of patients with inherited bleeding disorders, and HCC appears to be an increasing problem.
Journal ArticleDOI
Non-fatal cardiovascular disease, malignancies, and other co-morbidity in adult haemophilia patients.
Dietje E. Fransen van de Putte,Krista Fischer,Astrid E Pulles,Goris Roosendaal,Douwe H. Biesma,Roger E. G. Schutgens,Eveline P. Mauser-Bunschoten +6 more
TL;DR: The results showed a decreased occurrence of myocardial infarction in patients with severe haemophilia, suggesting a protective effect of very low clotting factor levels on thrombotic cardiac events.
Journal ArticleDOI
DNA analysis of AHI1, NPHP1 and CYCLIN D1 in Joubert syndrome patients from the Netherlands.
Hester Y. Kroes,Patrick H.A. van Zon,Dietje E. Fransen van de Putte,Marcel R. Nelen,R. A. J. Nievelstein,D. Wittebol-Post,Onno van Nieuwenhuizen,Grazia M.S. Mancini,Marjo S. van der Knaap,Mei Lan Kwee,Saskia M. Maas,Jan Maarten Cobben,Jacques E.E. De Nef,Dick Lindhout,Richard J. Sinke +14 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that AHI1 mutations are an important cause of JBS in Dutch patients, and should always be looked for in patients suspected ofJBS, especially when retinal dystrophy is present.
