Journal ArticleDOI

Fast pyrolysis of Kraft lignin—Vapor cracking over various fixed-bed catalysts

TL;DR: In this paper, the characteristics of catalytic pyrolysis reactions and final products were studied by varying reaction temperature and catalyst type, and the results showed that the TI-mini fast pyrogrolyzer is especially suitable to obtain quick mass balances of main products such as char, non-condensable gases and biocrude-oil.
Journal ArticleDOI

Results of the IEA round robin on viscosity and stability of fast pyrolysis bio-oils

TL;DR: An international round robin study of the stability of fast pyrolysis bio-oil was conducted in this article, where 15 laboratories in five different countries contributed two biooil samples for stability testing and further analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Biodegradability of biomass pyrolysis oils: Comparison to conventional petroleum fuels and alternatives fuels in current use

TL;DR: In this article, the aerobic biodegradability of various pyrolysis oils from different origins and of a EN 590 diesel sample was examined using the Modified Sturm (OECD 301B).
Journal ArticleDOI

Conversion of technical lignins into slow-release nitrogenous fertilizers by ammoxidation in liquid phase

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of time, temperature, and oxygen pressure on the amount of fixed nitrogen and the C/N ratio was studied in the lignin macromolecule.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of tobacco lignin by analytical pyrolysis and Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy

TL;DR: In this paper, two milled wood lignins (MWLs) were isolated from tobacco leaves (laminae) and midrib material according to the Bjorkman procedure.
