Water mediated uncatalyzed facile synthesis ofylidenenitriles of 4-oxo-(4H)-1-benzopyran-3-carbaldehyde
TL;DR: In this paper, a simple efficient and environment ecofriendly route has been developed for the synthesis of ylidenenitriles of======4-oxo-(4H)-1-benzopyran-3-carbaldehyde by the condensation of======ργαβδαβαββα βαβγα ββββγ βαγβαγ ββγβγγ βγαγγαα βγββ βγγ αβγδβααβ ββα αβ
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of bivalent lactosides and their activity as sensors for differences between lectins in inter- and intrafamily comparisons
Sabine André,Dilip V. Jarikote,Dandan Yan,Dandan Yan,Lisa Vincenz,Guan-Nan Wang,Herbert Kaltner,Paul V. Murphy,Hans-Joachim Gabius +8 more
TL;DR: The synthesis of nine bivalent lactosides and one monovalent lactosyl triazole facilitated the assessment of the sensitivity of plant/animal lectins to this type of ligand display and differential sensitivities were detected between plant and animal lectins and also between distinct galectin forms within the chicken series.
Journal ArticleDOI
Metathesis and Macrocycles with Embedded Carbohydrates
Dilip V. Jarikote,Paul V. Murphy +1 more
TL;DR: The recent application of metathesis to the synthesis of ipomoeassins A, B and F, glycophanes, neooligoaminodeoxysaccharides, macrolides and other macrocycles with embedded carbohydrates are reviewed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ensemble hybridisation--a new method for exploring sequence dependent fluorescence of dye-nucleic acid conjugates.
TL;DR: The fluorescence of thiazole orange as artificial base in PNA was investigated in a nearest neighbour analysis; library-to-library hybridisation allowed the identification of probe sequences suitable for homogeneous DNA detection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Decorated macrocycles via ring-closing double-reductive amination. identification of an apoptosis inducer of leukemic cells that at least partially antagonizes a 5-HT2 receptor.
Jian Zhou,Mairead Reidy,Ciaran O’Reilly,Dilip V. Jarikote,Arvind Negi,Afshin Samali,Eva Szegezdi,Paul V. Murphy +7 more
TL;DR: A build-couple-pair strategy, including double-reductive amination macrocyclization, has been used to generate decorated macrocycles (eannaphanes) with an embedded triazole and monosaccharide.
