Although conventional chemotherapy has been successful to some extent, the main drawbacks of chemotherapy are its poor bioavailability, high-dose requirements, adverse side effects, low therapeutic indices, development of multiple drug resistance, and non-specific targeting. The main aim in the development of drug delivery vehicles is to successfully address these delivery-related problems and carry drugs to the desired sites of therapeutic action while reducing adverse side effects. In this review, we will discuss the different types of materials used as delivery vehicles for chemotherapeutic agents and their structural characteristics that improve the therapeutic efficacy of their drugs and will describe recent scientific advances in the area of chemotherapy, emphasizing challenges in cancer treatments.

Herbal plant based products and their derived phytochemicals have been used in the complementary and alternative system of medicine for the treatment of human disorders. Vegetables, fruits, seeds, nuts, coffee, tea, and wine contain significant amounts of coumarin class phytochemicals. Coumarin is found to be present in cassia leaf oil, cinnamon bark oil, lavender oil and in microorganism derived drugs.



Scientific databases such as Google, Google Scholar, Science Direct, Scopus, and PubMed have been searched to collect the scientific information of meranzin and meranzin hydrate in the present work in order to know the medicinal importance and pharmacological activities in the medicine. Pharmacological activity data of meranzin and meranzin hydrates has been thoroughly studied from these scientific databases and analyzed in the present work to know their biological potential against human disorders. Analytical data of meranzin and meranzin hydrates have been also collected and analyzed in the present work to know the importance of analytical techniques for the standardization of plant material.



Scientific data analysis revealed the biological potential of meranzin and meranzin hydrates against human health complications. Meranzin were found to be present in the Fructus aurantii, Triphasia trifolia, Cnidium monnieri and Murraya exotica. Scientific data analysis revealed the biological potential of meranzin and meranzin hydrates in the medicine due to its anti-depressant, anti-fibrotic, anti-proliferative, and anti-atherosclerosis, anti-bacterial activities. Further scientific data analysis revealed the biological effectiveness of meranzin and meranzin hydrates on neuroinflammation, intestinal motility and various forms of enzymes. Pharmacokinetic parameters for meranzin and meranzin hydrates have been also investigated in the present work. Chromatography techniques used for the analysis have been also summarized and discussed in the present work to know the importance of isolation, separation, and quantification of meranzin and meranzin hydrates.



Present study will be supportive to the scientist for the development of effective medicine from meranzin and meranzin hydrates against various form of human health complications.

T009 Therapeutic potential of cirsimaritin in the medicine for their effectiveness as anti-breast cancer drug: Biological importance and pharmacological activities



Plant derived natural products have been always used in medicine for the treatment of human disorders due to their pharmacological activities and safety profile. Plant derived natural products have been used in food, Nutraceuticals and medicine for the better growth and development. Phytoconstituents are pure chemicals derived from various plant material and some of the best examples are tannins, alkaloids, terpenes, terpenoids, coumarins, polysaccharides, glycosides, flavonoids and phenols. Flavonoids are pure phytochemicals present in plants and their derived products and examples are eupafolin, kaempferol, quercetin, apigenin, myricetin, and luteolin. Flavonoids have different pharmacological activities due to their unique chemical structure and ring substitution.



In the present investigation, various scientific databases, including PubMed, Google, Science Direct and Scopus, have been searched to collect all the needed information of eupafolin. The biological potential and pharmacological activities of eupafolin have been investigated in the present work through literature data analysis of eupafolin through different scientific works. Detailed pharmacological activities of eupafolin have been collected and analyzed in the present work to know their effectiveness in the medicine for the treatment of human disorders. The importance of analytical techniques for the separation, identification and quantification of eupafolin in medicinal plants has been also investigated in the present work through literature data analysis.



Analysis of scientific databases revealed that eupafolin is a flavonoid class phytochemical found to be present in Arnica chamissonis, Arnica Montana, Artemisia mongolica, Artemisia princeps, Artemisia scoparia, Chamaemelum nobile, Dimerostemma vestitum, Eupatorium cannabinum, Eupatorium perfoliatum, Gaillardia aristata, Kalanchoe brasiliensis, Kalanchoe pinnata, Korscheltellus gracilis, Lantana montevidensis, Lippia canescens, Lippia dulcis, Phyla nodiflora and Salvia officinalis. Scientific research data analysis revealed the biological importance of eupafolin in medicine due to its anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral and anti-oxidant activity. However its potential on melanogenesis, cardiomyocytes, cerebral ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury, glutamate release has been also mentioned in the scientific research work. The study of analytical data revealed the importance of Gas chromatography, GC-MS, HPLC-DAD, HPLC-UV, TLC and UHPLC-MS for qualitative and quantitative analysis of eupafolin in the medicine and other allied health sectors.



Eupafolin has a very impressive pharmacological profile and could be used against different types of human disorders.

BACKGROUND
Plants and their derived products have been used in the history as a food and medicine. Plant materials are rich sources of fiber, mineral, vitamins, and bioactive phytochemicals, which are useful for human being. Strictinin is an important phytoconstituent of green tea.


METHODS
Present work mainly focuses on the biological importance, therapeutic potential and pharmacological activities of strictinin in the medicine. Numerous scientific data has been collected from various literature databases such as Google Scholar, Science Direct, PubMed and Scopus database in order to know the health beneficial potential of strictinin. Pharmacological data has been collected and analyzed in the present work to know the effectiveness of strictinin against human disorders and complications. Analytical data of strictinin has been also collected and analyzed in the present work.


RESULTS
Scientific data analysis revealed the biological importance of strictinin in the medicine. Scientific data analysis signified the therapeutic benefit of strictinin mainly due to its Anticancer, antimicrobial, antibacterial, antiviral and antioxidant activity. However enzymatic activities, cytotoxicity, effectiveness on skin disorders and osteogenic potential of strictinin have also been discussed. Analytical data revealed the importance of modern analytical techniques in the medicine for the separation, identification and isolation of strictinin.


CONCLUSION
Present work signified the biological importance and therapeutic benefits of strictinin in the medicine and other allied health sectors.
