A kinetic model for growth of Acetobacter aceti in submerged culture
TL;DR: In this article, a kinetic model for growth of Acetobacter aceti in low alcohol media is proposed, which combines the influence of substrate (ethanol) concentration, product (acetic acid) concentration and dissolved oxygen on the specific microorganism growth rate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Kinetic equation for growth of Thiobacillus ferrooxidans in submerged culture over aqueous ferrous sulphate solutions
TL;DR: In this paper, a useful equation for ferrous sulphate oxidation processes by Thiobacillus ferrooxidans in batch operations is proposed based on the equation proposed by Liu and Branion.
Journal ArticleDOI
PID control system for biogas desulfurization under anoxic conditions
TL;DR: In this article, the stability and robustness of PID control in an anoxic biotrickling filter was evaluated using three tuning methods: Ziegler-Nichols, Approximate M-constrained integral gain optimization (AMIGO), and maintained oscillation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Feedforward control application in aerobic and anoxic biotrickling filters for H2S removal from biogas

Journal ArticleDOI
Optimization of culture media for ethanol production from glycerol by Escherichia coli
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors optimized the culture media for glycerol to ethanol biotransformation by Escherichia coli under anaerobic conditions and used a Plackett-Burman screening design to determine which factors were significant with a 95% confidence interval.
