TL;DR: In this article, a new nonlinear optical crystal of coordination complex, zinc cadmium tetrathiocyanate (ZnCd(SCN)4), was successfully synthesized through several reactions in water.
Journal ArticleDOI
Strong green luminescence of Ni2+-doped ZnS nanocrystals
TL;DR: In this paper, a Hitachi M-850 fluorescence spectrophotometer was used to reveal the emission spectra of Ni-doped ZnS nanocrystallites.
Journal ArticleDOI
Accelerated carbonation of hardened cement pastes: Influence of porosity
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of paste porosity controlled by water to cement ratio (w/c) on carbonation and the paste micro-structures evolution was analyzed, and the results showed that the carbonation rate, carbonation depth and compressive strength are improved after carbonation, while total porosity of complete carbonation zone decreases with the growth of porosity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Crystal structure and characterization of a novel organic nonlinear optical crystal: L-arginine trifluoroacetate
TL;DR: A new organic salt nonlinear optical crystal, LATF (Larginine trifluoroacetate) is reported in this paper, where the properties have been determined by elemental analysis, X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy SHG, transmission spectra and optical damage threshold measurements LATF belongs to the monoclinic crystallographic system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Temperature and Loading Effects of Embedded Smart Piezoelectric Sensor for Health Monitoring of Concrete Structures
TL;DR: In this article, an embedded impedance-based piezoelectric sensor was fabricated by using mixture of cement powder and epoxy resin as packaging layer, and the effects of temperature and load on impedance and conductance spectra of the sensor were investigated.
