Note: Vector reflectometry in a beam waveguide
TL;DR: A one-port calibration technique for characterization of beam waveguide components with a vector network analyzer using a set of known delays to separate the responses of the instrument and the device under test is presented.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

TL;DR: The 6-meter Atacama Cosmology Telescope will map the cosmic microwave background at millimeter wavelengths as mentioned in this paper, which is based on an arefractive optical system which simultaneously images three separate fields of view at three different frequencies: 145, 220, and 280 GHz.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhanced Quasiparticle Lifetime in a Superconductor by Selective Blocking of Recombination Phonons with a Phononic Crystal
TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that a phonon band gap restricting the escape of recombination phonons from a superconductor can increase the quasiparticle recombination lifetime by more than an order of magnitude.
