Bradykinin stimulates IL-6 and IL-8 production by human lung fibroblasts through ERK- and p38 MAPK-dependent mechanisms

TL;DR: It is suggested that bradykinin appears to be involved in the inflammatory reaction leading to acute lung injury through stimulating interleukin-6 and interleukain-8 production by lung fibroblasts through the extracellular signal-regulated protein kinase 1/2 and p38 mitogen-activated protein Kinase pathway-dependent activation in human lung fibrasts.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ionizing radiation enhances matrix metalloproteinase-2 production in human lung epithelial cells.

TL;DR: Results indicate that MMP-2 expression by human lung epithelial cells is involved in radiation-induced lung injury, and ionizing radiation increased the level of M MP-2 mRNA.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interleukin‐1α and tumor necrosis factor α synergistically stimulate prostaglandin E2‐dependent production of interleukin‐11 in rheumatoid synovial fibroblasts

TL;DR: It is suggested that IL-1alpha and TNFalpha synergistically stimulate the production of IL-11 via their effects on PGE2 production in the rheumatoid joint, and that atypical PKC may be another target for down-regulation of IL -11, the bone resorption-associated cytokine.
