Heavy metal pollution in drinking water - a global risk for human health: A review
Fabian Fernandez-Luquentilde,Fern,o Lopez-Valdez,Prócoro Gamero-Melo,Silvia Luna-Suárez,Elsa Nadia Aguilera-González,Arturo I. Martinez,María del Socorro García-Guillermo,Gildardo Hernandez-Martinez,Raul Herrera-Mendoza,Manuel Antonio Alvarez-Garza,Ixchel Rubi Perez-Velazquez +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, heavy metal pollution in drinking water, the incorporation of them into the food chain, and their implications as a global risk for the human health, are the objectives of this review.
Journal ArticleDOI
Upscaling of W zeolite direct synthesis from coal fly ash and its water adsorption capacity
Karen Yazmin Gamero-Vega,Karen Yazmin Gamero-Vega,A. Medina-Ramírez,A. Medina-Ramírez,Sasirot Khamkure,Sylvia I Orozco‐Núñez,Elsa Nadia Aguilera-González,Prócoro Gamero-Melo +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a set of optimal conditions to obtain amorphous materials easy to be recrystallized into W zeolite was quantified and a product with ≤94.7% of the amorphized phase was obtained.
Journal ArticleDOI
Facile synthesis of novel calcium silicate hydrated-nylon 6/66 nanocomposites by solution mixing method
Sofía Estrada-Flores,Antonia Martínez-Luévanos,P. Bartolo-Pérez,Luis Alfonso García-Cerda,Tirso E. Flores-Guía,Elsa Nadia Aguilera-González +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, a facile and green procedure for the synthesis of novel calcium silicate hydrated-nylon 6/66 nanocomposites is proposed, which can be associated to a good dispersion.
Journal ArticleDOI
Physicochemical and microbiological characterisation for drinking water quality assessment in Southeast Coahuila, Mexico
Fabián Fernández-Luqueño,Prócoro Gamero-Melo,Fernando López-Valdez,Elsa Nadia Aguilera-González,María del Socorro García-Guillermo,Gildardo Hernandez-Martinez,Oscar Fernández-Fernández,Manuel Antonio Alvarez-Garza,Ixchel Rubi Perez-Velazquez +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, 10 wells in northern Mexico were analyzed for 47 water quality constituents to determine the seasonal drinking water quality variations and their suitability for human consumption, including 25 major/trace elements analyzed by inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS).
