Crystal structures and physico-chemical properties of Zn(II) and Co(II) tetraaqua(3-nitro-4-hydroxybenzoato) complexes: Their anticonvulsant activities as well as related (5-nitrosalicylato)–metal complexes
Jean d'Angelo,Georges Morgant,Nour-Eddine Ghermani,Nour-Eddine Ghermani,Didier Desmaële,Bernard Fraisse,François Bonhomme,Emma Dichi,Mehrez Sghaier,Yanling Li,Yves Journaux,John R. J. Sorenson +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors synthesize Zn(II) and Co-II complexes of 3-nitro-4-hydroxybenzoic acid, determine their structures through X-ray crystallography, and obtain their anticonvulsant activities.
Journal ArticleDOI
The equilibrium phase diagram of the copper–indium system: a new investigation
TL;DR: In this paper, the entire phase diagram of the Cu-In system was investigated using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), metallography and electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) studies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Covalently bonded infinite zigzag chain structure in a novel Zn(II) complex of 2,5-dihydroxy-1,6-benzenedicarboxylic acid
Nour-Eddine Ghermani,Nour-Eddine Ghermani,Georges Morgant,Jean d'Angelo,Didier Desmaële,Bernard Fraisse,François Bonhomme,Emma Dichi,Mehrez Sgahier +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the reaction of disodium salt of 2,5-dihydroxy-1,6-benzenedicarboxylic acid (DHBDC) and zinc sulfate in aqueous solution at room temperature yields complex [Zn(H2O)2(DHBdc)]n. Structural analyses of this complex reveal that the individual zero-dimensional units are covalently linked through their metal ends, forming infinite 1D zigzag chains.
Journal ArticleDOI
Physico-chemical characterisation of a new polymorph of caffeine
TL;DR: In this article, a (temperature, pressure) unary phase diagram was deduced for a new polymorph of caffeine at low pressure synthesized by sublimation using X-ray powder diffraction, differential scanning calorimeter, thermogravimetric analysis, thermally stimulated current and electrochemical impedance.
Journal ArticleDOI
Engineering a GABA endowed with pharmacological CNS activity when given by an extracerebral route
Joseph Vamecq,Yves Feutelais,Pierre Maurois,Mehrez Sghaier,Emma Dichi,Michèle German-Fattal,Christine Herrenknecht,Pierre Gressens,Roméo Cecchelli,Lucie Dehouck,James P. Stables,Nicole Pages,Bernard Legendre,Pierre Bac +13 more
TL;DR: It is shown herein that extracerebral administration may be, however, pharmacologically effective in controlling experimental convulsive attacks when GABA is submitted to sublimation under vacuum just before use.
