TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the evolution of six U.S. corporate logos from their inception to the current version of the graphic emblem and found six main themes that emerged across the analyses of these logos: Direction toward the future, identity with viewers, instant recognition and distinctiveiveness, consistency throughout evolution, invocation of change, and true representation of corporate identity.
