Journal ArticleDOI
Forced aeration promotes high production and productivity of infective conidia from Metarhizium robertsii in solid-state fermentation
TL;DR: This study shows thatforced aeration in tubular bioreactor allows the highest conidia production and productivity; additionally, the forced aeration allows the on-line monitoring of the production of CO2 during the fermentation process, as a tool to associate this measurement to conidiation patterns.
Journal ArticleDOI
Conidia production of Metarhizium anisopliae in bags and packed column bioreactors
Journal Article
Effect of solid substrate fermentation on the nutritional quality of agro-industrial residues
Guadalupe Ortiz-Tovar,Javier López-Miranda,M. A. Cerrillo-Soto,A. S. Juárez-Reyes,Ernesto Favela-Torres,Oscar Soto-Cruz +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the chemical composi- tion and in vitro gas production of five agro-industrial residues, with and without treatment, using solid substrate fermentation, using two filamentous fungi, Trichoderma harzianum and Phanaerochaete chrysosporium.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydrolysis and oxidation of racemic esters into prochiral ketones catalyzed by a consortium of immobilized enzymes
Susana Velasco-Lozano,Javier Rocha-Martín,Ernesto Favela-Torres,Javier Calvo,José Berenguer,Jose M. Guisan,Fernando López-Gallego +6 more
TL;DR: The one-pot tandem hydrolysis and oxidation of racemic esters (1-phenylethyl acetate) to yield quantitative conversion of prochiral ketones (acetophenone) catalyzed by a consortium of immobilized enzymes is shown.
Journal ArticleDOI
On-line monitoring of Aspergillus niger GH1 growth in a bioprocess for the production of ellagic acid and ellagitannase by solid-state fermentation.
Pedro Aguilar-Zárate,Jorge E. Wong-Paz,Luis V. Rodríguez-Durán,Juan Buenrostro-Figueroa,Mariela R. Michel,Gerardo Saucedo-Castañeda,Ernesto Favela-Torres,Juan A. Ascacio-Valdés,Juan C. Contreras-Esquivel,Cristóbal N. Aguilar +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the monitoring of CO2 production by Aspergillus niger GH1 in a bioprocess for the production of ellagitannase (EAH) and ellagic acid by solid state fermentation.
