Journal ArticleDOI
Electroanatomic mapping characteristics of ventricular tachycardia in patients with arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy/dysplasia.
Hielko Miljoen,Simona State,Christian de Chillou,I. Magnin-Poull,Pierre Dotto,Marius Andronache,A. Abdelaal,Etienne Aliot +7 more
TL;DR: Peritricuspid ventricular reentry is a frequent mechanism of VT in patients with ARVD which can be identified by detailed 3D electroanatomical mapping.
Journal ArticleDOI
Indications for implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) therapy. Study Group on Guidelines on ICDs of the Working Group on Arrhythmias and the Working Group on Cardiac Pacing of the European Society of Cardiology
R. N. W. Hauer,Etienne Aliot,M. Block,Alessandro Capucci,B. Lüderitz,Massimo Santini,Panagiotis Vardas +6 more
TL;DR: It is shown that because the number of patients was relatively small, total mortality showed only a trend in favour of early ICD implantation, and the cost-effectiveness ratio, defined as costs per day of life, was significantly in favourof early I CD implantation.
Journal Article
[Task Force on Sudden Cardiac Death, European Society of Cardiology. Summary of recommendations].
S. G. Priori,Etienne Aliot,Carina Blomström-Lundqvist,Leo Bossaert,G. Breithardt,Pedro Brugada,John Camm,Riccardo Cappato,Stuart M. Cobbe,C. Di Mario,Barry J. Maron,William J. McKenna,A. K. Pedersen,U. Ravens,Peter J. Schwartz,M. Trusz-Gluza,Panos E. Vardas,Hein J.J. Wellens,Douglas P. Zipes +18 more
TL;DR: A task force on Sudden Cardiac Death recommended that sudden cardiac death should be investigated in patients with a history of atypical heart attack or sudden death atrial fibrillation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Serum BNP, hs-C-reactive protein, procollagen to assess the risk of ventricular tachycardia in ICD recipients after myocardial infarction.
Hugues Blangy,Nicolas Sadoul,Brigitte Dousset,Anca Radauceanu,Renaud Fay,Etienne Aliot,Faiez Zannad +6 more
TL;DR: Combined 'high PINP and low PIIINP' is a strong VT marker; and inflammatory process is involved in VT pathogenesis in coronary artery disease patients is investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Significant improvement of quality of life following atrioventricular synchronous pacing in patients with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy. Data from 1 year of follow-up
Fredrik Gadler,Cecilia Linde,Claude Daubert,WJ McKenna,E. Meisel,Etienne Aliot,Lidia Chojnowska,L. Guize,Daniel Gras,X. Jeanrenaud,Lukas Kappenberger +10 more
TL;DR: Atrioventricular synchronous pacing has a profound beneficial effect on most domains of quality of life in patients with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy refractory to drug treatment.
