Journal ArticleDOI
Hepatitis E Virus Lifecycle and Identification of 3 Forms of the ORF2 Capsid Protein
Claire Montpellier,Czeslaw Wychowski,Ibrahim M Sayed,Jean-Christophe Meunier,Jean-Michel Saliou,Maliki Ankavay,Anne Bull,André Pillez,Florence Abravanel,François Helle,Etienne Brochot,Hervé Drobecq,Rayan Farhat,Cécile-Marie Aliouat-Denis,Juliano G Haddad,Jacques Izopet,Philip Meuleman,Anne Goffard,Jean Dubuisson,Laurence Cocquerel +19 more
TL;DR: An efficient cell culture system is developed and HEV particles are characterized and 3 ORF2 capsid proteins are identified, which will advance the understanding of the HEV life cycle and improve diagnosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anti-spike, Anti-nucleocapsid and Neutralizing Antibodies in SARS-CoV-2 Inpatients and Asymptomatic Individuals
Etienne Brochot,Baptiste Demey,Antoine Touzé,Sandrine Belouzard,Jean Dubuisson,Jean Luc Schmit,Gilles Duverlie,Catherine François,Sandrine Castelain,François Helle +9 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that the SARS-CoV-2 does not induce a prolonged neutralizing antibody response and suggest that induction of neutralizing antibodies is not the only strategy to adopt for the development of a vaccine.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genetic recombination of the hepatitis C virus: clinical implications.
Virginie Morel,Carole Fournier,Catherine François,Etienne Brochot,François Helle,Gilles Duverlie,Sandrine Castelain +6 more
TL;DR: This review provides an update on recombinant HCV strains, the process that gives rise to recombinants and clinical implications of recombination, and raises many questions concerning its mechanisms and effects on the epidemiological and physiopathological features of the virus.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dynamic profile for the detection of anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies using four immunochromatographic assays.
Baptiste Demey,Nagib Daher,Catherine François,Jean Philippe Lanoix,Gilles Duverlie,Sandrine Castelain,Etienne Brochot +6 more
TL;DR: Testing 4 immunochromatographic tests for the detection of antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 shows great heterogeneity in antiboy detection post-symptom onset, and these tests may have their place for the diagnostic panel of COVID-19.
Journal ArticleDOI
Biology of the BKPyV: An Update.
François Helle,Etienne Brochot,Lynda Handala,Elodie Martin,Sandrine Castelain,Catherine François,Gilles Duverlie +6 more
TL;DR: An update on recent advances in understanding the biology of BKPyV is provided and the only therapeutic option is a modulation of the immunosuppressive drug regimen to improve immune control though it may increase the risk of rejection.
