TL;DR: In this paper, an accurate fault location algorithm for a double-circuit transmission line with series capacitor compensation at its both ends is presented, which is formulated in phase co-ordinates.
Abstract: This paper presents an accurate fault location algorithm for a double-circuit transmission line with series capacitor compensation at its both ends. Use of one-end measurements: three-phase voltage and three-phase currents from both line circuits has been considered. The algorithm is formulated in phase co-ordinates. The developed algorithm has been tested and evaluated using signals taken from ATP-EMTP versatile simulations of faults. The presented sample results of the testing show the validity of the algorithm and its good accuracy.

TL;DR: In this paper, a very fast method for selection of faulted circuit in parallel lines for both uncompensated and series-compensated lines has been presented and evaluated using signals taken from ATPEMTP versatile simulations.
Abstract: This paper presents a new, very fast method for selection of faulted circuit in parallel lines for both uncompensated and series-compensated lines. It suits for protection of parallel uncompensated or series-compensated lines and uses one-end phase currents measurements only. The developed algorithm has been tested and evaluated using signals taken from ATPEMTP versatile simulations. A detailed model of considered transmission line including the SCs&MOVs banks as well as the measurement channels has been developed. Using this model, the reliable fault data on a double-circuit uncompensated/series-compensated transmission line as well as for faults outside the line have been generated under variety of fault conditions. The sample results of this evaluation are presented and discussed.

TL;DR: In this article, a fault locator for a three-terminal power line associated with current differential relays is presented, where the measurement is carried out for three hypothetical faults located at particular line sections and then the result consistent with the real fault is selected.
Abstract: Issues related to fault-loop impedance measurement in a three-terminal power line for a fault locator associated with current differential relays are presented. The measurement is carried out for three hypothetical faults located at particular line sections and then the result consistent with the real fault is selected. Influence of fault path resistance on the measurement is compensated for. A sample measurement with use of signals from computer simulation is presented. (Fault locator for three-terminal power line associated with current differential relays - measurement of fault-loop impedance).
