Algal fucoidan: structural and size-dependent bioactivities and their perspectives
TL;DR: This mini-review has tried to summarize the algal fucoidan research and the bioactivities influenced by their molecular size.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhanced biodegradation of hydrocarbons in soil by microbial biosurfactant, sophorolipid.
TL;DR: The results showed the potentials of the microbial biosurfactant, sophorolipid, as an effective surfactant for soil washing and as an in situ biodegradation enhancer.

Characteristics of sophorolipid as an antimicrobial agent
TL;DR: Sophorolipid, a biosurfactant produced from Candida bombicola ATCC 22214, showed antimicrobial activity against Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus xylosus, Streptococcus mutans, and Propionibacterium acne, and inhibited 50% of cell growth of plant pathogenic fungus, Botrytis cineria.
