Journal ArticleDOI

Protective effects of aucubin isolated from Eucommia ulmoides against UVB-induced oxidative stress in human skin fibroblasts.

TL;DR: Using the human skin fibroblast HS68 cell line, the photoprotective effects of aucubin from Eucommia ulmoides were investigated and it was suggested that aucubs might play an important role in the cellular defense mechanism against UV radiation-induced photoaging.
Journal ArticleDOI

2,4-Di-tert-butylphenol from Sweet Potato Protects Against Oxidative Stress in PC12 Cells and in Mice

TL;DR: The results suggest that sweet potato extract could be protective against Aβ-induced neurotoxicity, possibly due to the antioxidative capacity of its constituent, 2,4-di-tert-butylphenol.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of Green Tea Polyphenol on Cognitive and Acetylcholinesterase Activities

TL;DR: Chronic administration of TP significantly reversed scopolamine-induced retention deficits in both step-through passive avoidance and spontaneous alternation behavior tasks and exhibited a dramatic inhibitory effect on acetylcholinesterase activity, suggesting that TP might be useful in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
