Journal ArticleDOI
Silver nanoparticles synthesized from Adenium obesum leaf extract induced DNA damage, apoptosis and autophagy via generation of reactive oxygen species.
Mohammad Abul Farah,Mohammad Ajmal Ali,Shen-Ming Chen,Ying Li,Fahad M.A. Al-Hemaid,F M Abou-Tarboush,Khalid Mashay Al-Anazi,Joongku Lee +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used aqueous leaf extract of A. obesum (AOAgNPs) for the synthesis of silver nanoparticles, which were further characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).
Journal ArticleDOI
In vitro cytotoxicity screening of wild plant extracts from Saudi Arabia on human breast adenocarcinoma cells.
TL;DR: Results clearly show that ethanolic extract of L. dentata exhibits promising cytotoxic activity with an IC50 value of 39 μg/mL, and call for further investigations to determine the active chemical constituent(s) and their mechanisms of inducing apoptosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular docking of the anticancer bioactive compound proceraside with macromolecules involved in the cell cycle and DNA replication.
Arun Bahadur Gurung,Mohammad Al-Haj Ali,Atanu Bhattacharjee,M AbulFarah,Fahad M.A. Al-Hemaid,F M Abou-Tarboush,Khalid Mashay Al-Anazi,F S M Al-Anazi,Joongku Lee +8 more
TL;DR: Molecular-docking analyses revealed that proceraside A was the best docked ligand against all the targets, with the exception of telomere-G: quadruplex, and critical hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic interactions with the targets were revealed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Target fishing of glycopentalone using integrated inverse docking and reverse pharmacophore mapping approach.
Arun Bahadur Gurung,Mohammad Al-Haj Ali,Atanu Bhattacharjee,Khalid Mashay Al-Anazi,Mohammad Abul Farah,Fahad M.A. Al-Hemaid,F M Abou-Tarboush,Joongku Lee,Soo-Yong Kim,F S M Al-Anazi +9 more
TL;DR: The present computational approach may aid in rational identification of targets for small molecules against large set of candidate macromolecules before bioassays validation.

Mohammad Abul Farah,Mohammad Ajmal Ali,Shen-Ming Chen,Ying Li,Fahad M.A. Al-Hemaid,F M Abou-Tarboush,Khalid Mashay Al-Anazi,Joongku Lee +7 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that AOAgNPs increased the level of ROS resulting in heightened the DNA damage, apoptosis and autophagy in MCF-7 breast cancer cells.
