Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of the total and partial p̄p cross section between 1901 and 1950 MeV

TL;DR: In this article, the presence of a structure in the pp total cross section at 1930-1940 MeV with a narrow width of 9 MeV is confirmed, and the interpretation of the effect as a single, non interfering, resonance is made difficult by the comparison of the elastic scattering with the charge exchange cross sections.
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of αs from energy-energy correlations measured on the Z0 resonance

Bernardo Adeva, +482 more
- 28 Mar 1991 -
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a study of energy-energy correlations based on 83 000 hadronic Z0 decays and determine the strong coupling constant αs to second-order QCD: αs(91.2 GeV)=0.121±0.1 s.
Journal ArticleDOI

Production and decay properties of the δ (970) meson

TL;DR: In this article, the production and decay properties of δ (970) have been investigated in the following reactions: K − p → Σ + (1385) ηπ − and k − p ar Σ+ ( 1385)K 0 K −.
Journal ArticleDOI

The reactions K−p → π∓Σ± at 4.2 GeV/c

TL;DR: In this paper, differential cross sections and the Σ+ polarization for the reactions K−p → π∓Σ± using data from a high statistics bubble chamber experiment at 4.2 GeV/c incident momentum are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Direct evidence for associated charm production in 340 GeV π−p interactions

TL;DR: In a 2.5 events/μb exposure of a small 20 cm diameter, rapid cycling hydrogen bubble chamber equipped with high resolution optics, clear evidence was observed for the first time of the associated production of charmed particles, identified by their short decays as mentioned in this paper.
