Kinetic study of the photo-induced copolymerization of N-substituted maleimides with electron donor monomers
TL;DR: In this paper, the photo-induced copolymerization of electron donor/electron acceptor monomers has been studied by real-time infrared spectroscopy, and the reaction was found to proceed rapidly upon u.v. exposure in the absence of oxygen.
Journal ArticleDOI
Photopolymerization of acrylates using N-aliphaticmaleimides as photoinitiators
TL;DR: In this article, the photopolymerization of a diacrylate monomer with an N-aliphaticmaleimide as the photoinitiator has been investigated by photo-differential scanning calorimetry (photo-DSC), real-time infrared (RTIR) spectroscopy, and real time UV (RTUV).
Journal ArticleDOI
Cationic photopolymerization of vinyl ether systems: influence of the presence of hydrogen donor additives
TL;DR: Several alcohols (n-butanol, 2-propanol, 2phenyl-2-Propanol) and water were added to diethylene-glycol-divinyl-ether (DVE2) or triethylene- glycol-DIVINIL-ETH as mentioned in this paper in order to investigate their influence on the cationic photopolymerization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Photo-induced alternating copolymerization of N-substituted maleimides and electron donor olefins
Sonny Jönsson,P.-E. Sundell,M. Shimose,Shan C. Clark,Christina V Miller,F. Morel,Christian Decker,Charles E. Hoyle +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the photochemistry as it relates to initiation of polymerization depending on acceptor and donor strength of the monomer system is compared to photoinitiator containing acrylates.
Journal ArticleDOI
Acid-induced dimerization of imidates derived from glycine: Synthesis of methylN-(1,2,5-trisubstituted-4-imidazoyl)glycinates
TL;DR: A number of N-(1,2,5-trisubstituted-4-imidazoyl)-glycinates 4 were prepared in 60-95% yield from imidates 1 derived from α-amino esters by cyclodimerization without solvent at 70°C in acetic acid medium as mentioned in this paper.
