Journal ArticleDOI

Tetraspanin1 promotes NGF signaling by controlling TrkA receptor proteostasis.

TL;DR: Tetraspanin1 (Tspan1) is identified as a critical regulator of TrkA signaling and neuronal differentiation induced by NGF, and knockdown of Tspan1 reduces the surface levels of TrKA by promoting its preferential sorting towards the autophagy/lysosomal degradation pathway.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lrig1 and Lrig3 cooperate to control Ret receptor signaling, sensory axonal growth and epidermal innervation.

TL;DR: This article showed that Lrig1 and Lrig3 are co-expressed in Ret-positive mouse dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons and showed that deletion of either Lrig 1 or Lrig 3 significantly inhibited axonal growth.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sprouty4 at the crossroads of Trk neurotrophin receptor signaling suppression by glucocorticoids

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors showed that DEX treatment promotes the transcription of Sprouty4, a regulatory molecule that is part of a negative feedback module that specifically abrogates Ras to Erk1/2 signaling in response to NGF.
