Journal ArticleDOI
A Comparative Study of an Aircraft Radome Closed Mold through Vacuum Infusion Technique
TL;DR: In this article, a closed mold is made from fiber glass/polyester composite via hand lay-up technique and a tooling grade vinyl ester gel coat is applied on the mold to produce fine smooth surface and protection.
Experimental assessment of collapse behavior and energy absorption of composite and hybrid composite square tube subjected to oblique loads
TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared the energy absorption and crushing behavior of composite materials and hybrid composite square tube subjected to quasi-static oblique loads with various angles and found that the axially compressed tubes gave better energy absorption against the tubes that subjected to high oblique loading under quasistatic conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Factorial design approach to investigate the significance of factors on the fire resistant, compression and adhesion properties of geopolymer binder
M.B. Mohd Salahuddin,Norkhairunnisa Mazlan,Faizal Mustapha,Mohamad Ridzwan Ishak,A.A. Saprudin +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, a 2-level fractional factorial design (2-FrFD) was used to screen and identify important factors affecting the behavior of geopolymer binder.
Journal ArticleDOI
A supervised machine-learning method for optimizing the automatic transmission system of wind turbines
TL;DR: In this paper , an unsupervised machine-learning algorithm is proposed to address the energy efficiency of the automatic transmission system in vertical axis wind turbines (VAWT), to increase its efficiency in harvesting energy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Damage Identification on Impact and Lightning Damage of Flax Composite Laminates (Linum usitatissimum) Using Long-Pulse Thermography of a Low-Resolution Infrared Camera
Murniwati Anwar,Murniwati Anwar,Faizal Mustapha,Mohamed Thariq Hameed Sultan,Izhal Abdul Halin,Mohd Na’im Abdullah,Mohd I. Hassim,Mazli Mustapha +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental set-up of Long Pulse thermography system using a low-resolution infrared camera of flax bio-composite on impact and lightning damage defects is presented.
