Journal ArticleDOI
Outcomes and patterns of failure in solitary plasmacytoma: A multicenter Rare Cancer Network study of 258 patients
Mahmut Ozsahin,Richard W. Tsang,Philip Poortmans,Yazid Belkacemi,Michel Bolla,Fazilet Oner Dincbas,Christine Landmann,Bernard Castelain,Jeroen Buijsen,Jürgen Curschmann,Sidney P. Kadish,Anna Kowalczyk,Yavuz Anacak,Josef Hammer,Tan D. Nguyen,Gabriela Studer,Rachel A Cooper,Meric Sengoz,Luciano Scandolaro,Abderrahim Zouhair +19 more
TL;DR: Progression to MM remains the main problem, but patients with extramedullary SP had the best outcomes, especially when treated with moderate-dose RT, and Chemotherapy and/or novel therapies should be investigated for bone or bulky extrameastern SP.
Journal ArticleDOI
Extraskeletal Ewing's sarcoma family of tumors in adults: prognostic factors and clinical outcome.
Deniz Tural,Nil Molinas Mandel,Sergülen Dervişoğlu,Fazilet Oner Dincbas,Sedat Koca,Didem Çolpan Öksüz,Fatih Kantarci,Hande Turna,Fatih Selcukbiricik,Murat Hiz +9 more
TL;DR: Adequate surgical resection, aggressive chemotherapy (vincristine, doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide and actinomycin-D alternating with ifosfamide and etoposide) and radiotherapy if indicated are the recommended therapy for patients with extraskeletal Ewing's sarcoma.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multivariate analysis of prognostic factors in 75 patients with soft tissue sarcoma
TL;DR: The results of 75 patients with soft-tissue sarcomas treated by the combination of local surgical excision plus postoperative radiotherapy are reported, finding a tumor site other than extremity, high tumor grade, unfavorable histology, and incomplete resection were found to significantly increase the risk of further tumor death.
Journal ArticleDOI
Radiotherapy for marginally resected, unresectable or recurrent giant cell tumor of the bone: a rare cancer network study:
Sumita Bhatia,Leszek Miszczyk,Martine Roelandts,Tan Dat Nguyen,Tom Boterberg,Phillip Poortmans,Laura A. Vallow,Fazilet Oner Dincbas,Yasmin Lassen-Ramshad,Maikel Botros,Robert C. Miller +10 more
TL;DR: Radiotherapy can provide excellent local control for incompletely resected, unresectable or recurrent GCToB with acceptable morbidity and five year overall survival is 94%.
Journal ArticleDOI
The role of preoperative radiotherapy in nonmetastatic high-grade osteosarcoma of the extremities for limb-sparing surgery
Fazilet Oner Dincbas,Sedat Koca,Nil Molinas Mandel,Murat Hiz,Sergülen Dervişoğlu,Hayrettin Seçmezacar,Didem Çolpan Öksüz,Beyhan Ceylaner,Burak Uzel +8 more
TL;DR: Preoperative radiotherapy helps to increase the chance of extremity-sparing surgery with good local control and necrosis rate when combined with chemotherapy with significant prognostic factors for actuarial survival.
