Journal Article
Functional atlas of emotional faces processing: a voxel-based meta-analysis of 105 functional magnetic resonance imaging studies.
Paolo Fusar-Poli,Anna Placentino,Francesco Carletti,Paola Landi,Paul Allen,Simon Surguladze,Francesco Benedetti,Marta Abbamonte,Roberto Gasparotti,Francesco Barale,Jorge Perez,Philip McGuire,Pierluigi Politi +12 more
TL;DR: This study has detailed neurofunctional maps to use as normative references in future fMRI studies of emotional facial processing in psychiatric populations, and found selective differences between neural networks underlying the basic emotions in limbic and insular brain regions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anxiety and depression in COVID-19 survivors: Role of inflammatory and clinical predictors.
Mario Gennaro Mazza,Rebecca De Lorenzo,Caterina Conte,Sara Poletti,Benedetta Vai,Irene Bollettini,Elisa Melloni,Roberto Furlan,Fabio Ciceri,Patrizia Rovere-Querini,Francesco Benedetti +10 more
TL;DR: It is recommended to assess psychopathology of COVID-19 survivors and to deepen research on inflammatory biomarkers, in order to diagnose and treat emergent psychiatric conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Polymorphism within the promoter of the serotonin transporter gene and antidepressant efficacy of fluvoxamine.
Enrico Smeraldi,Raffaella Zanardi,Francesco Benedetti,D. Di Bella,D. Di Bella,Jorge Perez,Marco Catalano,Marco Catalano +7 more
TL;DR: Genotyping at 5-HTT promoter may represent a promising tool to individualize the pharmacological treatment of depression and seems to be related to fluvoxamine efficacy in delusional depression.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficacy of paroxetine in depression is influenced by a functional polymorphism within the promoter of the serotonin transporter gene.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of CLOCK gene polymorphism on circadian mood fluctuation and illness recurrence in bipolar depression.
Francesco Benedetti,Alessandro Serretti,Cristina Colombo,Barbara Barbini,Cristina Lorenzi,Euridice Campori,Enrico Smeraldi +6 more
TL;DR: A role for the CLOCK gene polymorphism in the regulation of long‐term illness recurrence in bipolar disorder is hypothesized, with a significantly higher recurrence rate in homozygotes for the C variant, which was almost double than that of the other genotype groups.
