Journal ArticleDOI
House dust mite allergen induces asthma via Toll-like receptor 4 triggering of airway structural cells.
Hamida Hammad,Marcello Chieppa,Frédéric Perros,Monique Willart,Ronald N. Germain,Bart N. Lambrecht,Bart N. Lambrecht +6 more
TL;DR: It is shown in irradiated chimeric mice that Toll-like receptor 4 expression on radioresistant lung structural cells, but not on DCs, is necessary and sufficient for DC activation in the lung and for priming of effector T helper responses to HDM.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pulmonary arterial hypertension
David Montani,Sven Günther,Peter Dorfmüller,Frédéric Perros,Barbara Girerd,Gilles Garcia,Xavier Jaïs,Laurent Savale,Elise Artaud-Macari,Laura C. Price,Marc Humbert,Gérald Simonneau,Olivier Sitbon +12 more
TL;DR: The current state of art regarding to epidemiologic aspects of PH, diagnostic approaches and the current classification of PH are discussed as well as future treatments.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inflammation in pulmonary arterial hypertension.
TL;DR: Interestingly, some patients with severe pulmonary arterial hypertension associated with systemic lupus erythematosus have experienced significant improvements with immunosuppressive therapy, emphasising the relevance of inflammation in a subset of patients presenting with PH.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension in Patients Treated by Dasatinib
David Montani,Emmanuel Bergot,Sven Günther,Laurent Savale,Anne Bergeron,Arnaud Bourdin,Hélène Bouvaist,Matthieu Canuet,Christophe Pison,Margareth Macro,Patrice Poubeau,Barbara Girerd,Delphine Natali,Christophe Guignabert,Frédéric Perros,Dermot S. O'Callaghan,Xavier Jaïs,Pascale Tubert-Bitter,Gérard Zalcman,Olivier Sitbon,Gérald Simonneau,Marc Humbert +21 more
TL;DR: Dasatinib may induce severe precapillary PH fulfilling the criteria of pulmonary arterial hypertension, thus suggesting a direct and specific effect of dasatinIB on pulmonary vessels.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inflammation in Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
Laura C. Price,S. John Wort,Frédéric Perros,Frédéric Perros,Peter Dorfmüller,Peter Dorfmüller,Alice Huertas,Alice Huertas,David Montani,David Montani,Sylvia Cohen-Kaminsky,Sylvia Cohen-Kaminsky,Marc Humbert,Marc Humbert +13 more
TL;DR: The potential benefit of antiinflammatory therapies in iPAH is of importance and requires further study, and the approach is untested in idiopathic PAH (iPAH).
