Improvements in 57Fe depth-selective conversion electron Mössbauer spectroscopy by applying a low-noise scintillation electron detector

TL;DR: In this paper, a low-noise scintillation counter has been developed for the detection of low-intensity, low-energy (several keV) electrons in high vacuum.
Journal ArticleDOI

An Electro-Optical Pre-Amplifier Photomultiplier Combination with Integrated Power Supply Offering Excellent Single Electron Resolution for DUMAND

TL;DR: In this paper, a large area electro-optical pre-amplifier photomultiplier combination for the DUMAND array is proposed with excellent single and multi-electron resolution compared with conventional photOMultipliers.
Journal ArticleDOI

Performance-improvement in57Fe-DCEMS by an optimized scintillation counter

TL;DR: In this article, the statistical utility rate α characterizing the statistical quality of a given measurement is introduced to clarify the practical means to shorten the recording time of DCEMS and ICEMS measurements.
Journal ArticleDOI

The influence of an elastic stress on the electrical resistance of copper after plastic deformation

TL;DR: In this article, the elastic stress was varied in different ways, sometimes in combination with temperature variations, and the results are very sensitive to the details of the experimental method, and most of the results can be explained with the following hypotheses: 1) As a result of changing the stress the dislocations bend out, and eliminate some dislocation loops or other configurations, causing a decrease of the electrical resistance.
