A prospective study of 115 initially asymptomatic HIV infected gay men in Stockholm, Sweden.
Anders Karlsson,Göran Bratt,G. Von Krogh,Linda Morfeldt-Månson,Blenda Böttiger,Eric Sandström +5 more
TL;DR: No statistically significant association was found between disease progression and a number of recorded epidemiological variables, but reduced delayed cutaneous hypersensitivity, in particular to tuberculin, as well as the presence of a high IgG titer against cytomegalovirus (CMV), were correlated to disease progression.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Introduction of HIV during 1979–80 in a Sexually Active Homosexual Population of Stockholm

Journal ArticleDOI
An eleven year follow-up of delayed-type hypersensitivity testing for the identification of HIV-1 infected patients at increased risk of developing AIDS.
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated whether testing of delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH) to recall antigens could be used to identify HIV-1 infected patients at increased risk of death or developing AIDS.
Journal ArticleDOI
Microtiter assay for colorimetric detection of in vitro amplified Chlamydia trachomatis sequences.
TL;DR: It is shown that the assay can be used for rapid and simple detection of Chlamydia trachomatis in an automated format and is identical with the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using the enzymatic activity of beta-galactosidase.
