High-precision measurement of the atomic mass of the electron
Sven Sturm,Fabian Kohler,Jacek Zatorski,Anke Wagner,Zoltán Harman,G. Werth,Wolfgang Quint,Christoph H. Keitel,Klaus Blaum +8 more
TL;DR: A very precise measurement of the magnetic moment of a single electron bound to a carbon nucleus with a state-of-the-art calculation in the framework of bound-state quantum electrodynamics, and the precision of the resulting value for the atomic mass of the electron surpasses the current literature value of the Committee on Data for Science and Technology (CODATA).
Journal ArticleDOI
High-Accuracy Measurement of the Magnetic Moment Anomaly of the Electron Bound in Hydrogenlike Carbon
Hartmut Häffner,Thomas Beier,N. Hermanspahn,Hans-Jürgen Kluge,Wolfgang Quint,S. Stahl,J. Verdú,G. Werth +7 more
TL;DR: This is the most precise determination of an atomic g(J) factor so far of a bound electron bound in hydrogenlike carbon (12C5+): g(exp) = 2.001 041 596 (5).
Journal ArticleDOI
New Determination of the Electron’s Mass
Thomas Beier,Hartmut Häffner,N. Hermanspahn,Savely G. Karshenboim,H-Jürgen Kluge,Wolfgang Quint,S. Stahl,J. Verdú,G. Werth +8 more
TL;DR: A new independent value for the electron's mass in units of the atomic mass unit is presented, m(e) = 0.000 548 579 909 2(4) u.
