Recent progress in biodegradable polymers and nanocomposite-based packaging materials for sustainable environment
Jolanta Wróblewska-Krepsztul,Tomasz Rydzkowski,Gabriel Borowski,Mieczysław Szczypiński,Tomasz Klepka,Vijay Kumar Thakur +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the complex interaction between the food packaging materials and food was studied and it was discovered that biodegradable plastics made of such materials can be disposed of together with organic waste.
Journal ArticleDOI
Advanced oxidation processes for food industrial wastewater decontamination
TL;DR: In this article, four groups of advanced processes and their combination of food industry wastewater treatment have been reviewed: electrochemical oxidation (EC), Fenton's process, ozonation of water and photocatalytic processes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Utilization of Fine Coal Waste as a Fuel Briquettes
Gabriel Borowski,Jan J. Hycnar +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the results of a pilot plant study on fine coal processing to produce alternative fuel were presented, which included material homogenization, the selection of suitable parameters for the roll press unit, and an analysis of briquette quality.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of starch binder on charcoal briquette properties
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of starch binder on the mechanical, physical and burning properties of charcoal briquettes was investigated, and the results showed that the binder had no effect on toughness, calorific heating value, volatiles, fixed carbon content and ash content.
Journal ArticleDOI
The efficiency and technological reliability of biogenic compounds removal during long-term operation of a one-stage subsurface horizontal flow constructed wetland
Krzysztof Jóźwiakowski,Piotr Bugajski,Karolina Kurek,Maria de Fatima Nunes de Carvalho,Maria Adelaide Araújo Almeida,Tadeusz Siwiec,Gabriel Borowski,Wojciech Czekała,Jacek Dach,Magdalena Gajewska +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present the results of a study of the efficiency and technological reliability of total nitrogen and total phosphorus removal during long term operation of a one-stage constructed wetland system with subsurface horizontal wastewater flow.
