Journal ArticleDOI

Growth hormone regulates neuroendocrine responses to weight loss via AgRP neurons.

TL;DR: Findings indicate GH as a starvation signal that alerts the brain about energy deficiency, triggering key adaptive responses to conserve limited fuel stores, and blocking GH receptor attenuates the fall of whole body energy expenditure during food deprivation in mice.
Journal ArticleDOI

Growth hormone enhances the recovery of hypoglycemia via ventromedial hypothalamic neurons.

TL;DR: Investigating the importance of signal transducer and activator of transcription 5 (STAT5) signaling in SF1 cells for the counter‐regulatory response (CRR) concluded that GHR expression inSF1 cells is required for a normal CRR, and these effects are largely independent of STAT5 pathway.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of the metabolic differences between male and female C57BL/6 mice.

TL;DR: In this paper , the responses between male and female C57BL/6 mice to multiple metabolic challenges to understand the importance of sex in the control of energy homeostasis was compared.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Binder Rheology and Aggregate Gradation on the Permanent Deformation of Asphalt Mixtures

TL;DR: In this paper, seven asphalt binders (2 neat, 3 polymer-modified, and 2 rubber-asphalt binders) and asphalt mixtures with different gradations (19-mm dense-graded and 12.5-mm gap-graded) were evaluated in terms of rheology with the use of a dynamic shear rheometer (DSR) and a bending beam rheometers (BBR) to obtain the high and low performance grade (PG) temperatures.
