Journal ArticleDOI
Self-Assembling Microspheres from Charged Functional Polyelectrolytes and Small-Molecule Counterions
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the requirements for vesicle formation with regards to both components of the assembly and showed that the assembly process is controlled by pH and how, in consequence, the pKa's of the reactants can be used to reliably predict sphere formation.

Journal ArticleDOI
Modification of the semitransparent Prunus serrula bark film: Making rubber out of bark
TL;DR: In this paper, the structural and mechanical properties of the semitransparent bark of Prunus serrula have been investigated and the authors have shown that these properties can be effectively tailored with different plasticization and modification agents, which can be successfully converted to rubberlike material either temporally or permanently.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optical and transport properties of an alkali-doped methanofullerene
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of monoderivatization on the electronic properties of C60 were examined for a phenyl-C61-octanoic acid cholesteryl ester, whose nonlinear optical properties have been investigated in the past.
