Testing of modified zeolite hemostatic dressings in a large animal model of lethal groin injury.
Naresh Ahuja,Todd A. Ostomel,Peter Rhee,Galen D. Stucky,Richard M. Conran,Zheng Chen,Ghada A. Al-Mubarak,George C. Velmahos,Marc DeMoya,Hasan B. Alam,Hasan B. Alam +10 more
TL;DR: The use of zeolite hemostat can control hemorrhage and dramatically reduce mortality from a lethal groin wound in a swine model of battlefield injury.
Journal ArticleDOI
High Thermoelectric Performance of a Heterogeneous PbTe Nanocomposite
Hongchao Wang,Junphil Hwang,Matthew L. Snedaker,Il-Ho Kim,Chanyoung Kang,Jungwon Kim,Galen D. Stucky,John E. Bowers,Woochul Kim +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a mixture of nanodot nanocomposites and nanograined materials was synthesized for bulk thermoelectrics, which exhibited a zT around 2.0 at 773 K, which is a 25% increase compared to the zT of a homogeneous ndot nanomaterial with the largest quenching time.

Journal ArticleDOI
Flexibility of the zeolite RHO framework. In situ X-ray and neutron powder structural characterization of divalent cation-exchanged zeolite RHO
David R. Corbin,Lloyd Abrams,Glover A. Jones,M. M. Eddy,William T. A. Harrison,Galen D. Stucky,David E. Cox +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, in situ X-ray powder diffraction studies of zeolite RHO exchanged with various divalent cations, the authors showed that Ca,D-RHO shows the largest reported deviation from Im{bar 3}m symmetry (a = 13.9645 (7) {angstrom}) for a RHO structure.
