Journal ArticleDOI

NiFe-oxide electrocatalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction on Ti doped hematite photoelectrodes

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) on semiconducting metal-oxide photoelectrodes and found that the NiFe-oxide deposited from the Ni(II)-Fe(III) precursor increased the photon-to-current efficiency by as much as a factor of 5.
Book ChapterDOI

Directed synthesis of organic/inorganic composite structures

TL;DR: In this paper, the impact of the discovery of periodic mesoporous material using amphiphilic surfactants is apparent from the demographics of papers that have appeared in this area.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mackinawite and greigite in ancient alkaline hydrothermal chimneys: Identifying potential key catalysts for emergent life

TL;DR: Bourdoiseau et al. as discussed by the authors used Raman spectroscopy to simulate growth at hydrothermal vents of moderate temperature under supposed Hadean ocean-bottom conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fe(H2O)2BP2O8·H2O, a First Zeotype Ferriborophosphate with Chiral Tetrahedral Framework Topology

TL;DR: In this article, an ordered zeotype hydrated ferriborophosphate (H2O) was synthesized by a mild hydrothermal method and its structure was characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction which has ordered, alternating, vertex-sharing BO4, PO4, and FeO4(H 2O)2 groups.
