Journal ArticleDOI

TX-100/water/1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate microemulsions.

TL;DR: It was demonstrated that the hydrodynamic diameter (Dh) of the bmimPF6-in-water microemulsions is nearly independent of the water content but increases with increasing bmIMPF6 content due to the swelling of the micelles by the ionic liquid.
Journal ArticleDOI

A cyclic voltammetric technique for the detection of micro-regions of bmimPF6/Tween 20/H2O microemulsions and their performance characterization by UV-Vis spectroscopy

TL;DR: In this paper, the polarity of the microemulsion environment was investigated by UV-Visible spectroscopy using methyl orange as a probe, which showed that these IL-based microemulsions have potential in the production of metal nanomaterials, in biological extractions or as solvents for enzymatic reactions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Micelle Formation of Long-Chain Imidazolium Ionic Liquids in Aqueous Solution Measured by Isothermal Titration Microcalorimetry

TL;DR: In this article, the self-association of three long-chain imidazolium ionic liquids (ILs), [C12mim]Br, [C14mim],Br, and [C16mim]-Br, in aqueous solution was studied by surface tension measurements over a temperature range from (278.15 to 328.15) K.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preparation and Characterization of Inclusion Complexes of β‐Cyclodextrin with Ionic Liquid

TL;DR: In this article, the solubility and conductivity of aqueous solutions of ionic liquid (IL) 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate (bmimPF6), and their mixture in water were determined, and the conductivity measured.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interaction of bovine serum albumin and long-chain imidazolium ionic liquid measured by fluorescence spectra and surface tension

TL;DR: In this article, the binding of 1-tetradecyl-3methylimidazolium bromide (C14mimBr) to bovine serum albumin (BSA) was investigated by fluorescence spectra and surface tension.
