Hydrogen production via a two-step water splitting thermochemical cycle based on metal oxide – A review

TL;DR: In this paper, the two-step thermochemical cycle with regard to reaction heat source, metal oxide characteristics, and chemical reactors was reviewed. And the possibility of achieving large-scale industrial production and the perspective on future material development were also analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efficient generation of hydrogen by two-step thermochemical cycles: Successive thermal reduction and water splitting reactions using equal-power microwave irradiation and a high entropy material

TL;DR: In this paper, a high entropy poly-metal oxide used to generate hydrogen was produced by simultaneously introducing four cations onto a SiC foam, and the microwave plasma generated by microwave irradiation induced (FeMgCoNi)O1.2@SiC discharge could enhance the water splitting process.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal-exergy efficiency trade-off optimization of pressure retarded membrane distillation based on TOPSIS model

TL;DR: In this paper, a multi-objective optimization based on TOPSIS model and entropy weight method was conducted to analyze the effect of various operating parameters on thermal and exergy efficiencies of a counter-flow PRMD system.
