Agrobacterium-mediated genetic transformation of Nagpur mandarin (Citrus reticulata Blanco)

TL;DR: Genetic transformation protocol was developed for Nagpur mandarin, a choicest citrus variety grown in India and South East Asia, and genetic transformation was confirmed by PCR analysis and Southern hybridization with α- 32 P-labelled riboprobes of the gus gene.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bioscouring of jute fabric by cellulase-free alkalo-thermostable xylanase from Bacillus pumilus ASH

TL;DR: Alkalo-thermostable xylanase from Bacillus pumilus ASH has been evaluated for bioscouring of jute fabric as mentioned in this paper, which resulted in an increase of 9.63, 4.28 and 10.71% of reducing sugars, whiteness and brightness respectively as compared to conventional process.

Isolation of microorganisms simultaneously producing xylanase, pectinase and cellulase enzymes using cost effective substrates

Sampan Attri, +1 more
TL;DR: Screening of cellulase, xylanase and pectinase producing microorganisms was done by using agrowaste like wheat bran and orange peel to reduce the cost of isolation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of new bi(pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidinyl)-7-one derivatives from dehydroacetic acid and its analogues as antibacterial agents

TL;DR: Synthesis of some new bi(pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidinyl)-7-ones 3 was accomplished by the reaction of 3and/or 4-substituted 5-aminopyrazoles 2 with 3-acetyl-4-hydroxy-6-methyl2H-pyran-2-one (dehydroacetic acid, DHAA) and its analogues 1b-c in refluxing ethanol.
