TL;DR: Hemoglobin-stabilizing protein (AHSP) is an effective marker for detection of normal or abnormal erythroid precursors in bone marrow biopsies and is a useful addition to an immunohistochemical panel for assessment of neoplastic cells of possible erystroid derivation.
