Ecoepidemiology and biology of Eratyrus mucronatus Stål, 1859 (Hemiptera: Reduviidae: Triatominae), a sylvatic vector of Chagas disease in the Brazilian Amazon
TL;DR: The climatic variables described in the field indicate that these environmental parameters have a limiting effect on the dispersal and colonization of E. mucronatus to new environments.
Journal ArticleDOI
Parasitic profiling of Japanese quails (Coturnix japonica) on two farms with conventional production system in the Amazon region
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors conducted a parasitological research in quails in order to contribute to ameliorate the situation of the lack of information regarding taxonomy and parasitic biology of quails (Coturnix japonica).
Journal ArticleDOI

Diego Gomes Batista,Constança Britto,Gersonval Leandro Silva Monte,Fabricio Beggiato Baccaro +3 more
TL;DR: The new records of adults and nymphs of triatomines in the intra- and peridomiciles suggest the adoption of prophylactic measures for vector surveillance in the study area.
Journal ArticleDOI

PATHOLOGICAL ALTERATIONS IN CARCASSES AND VISCERA OF JAPANESE QUAIL (Coturnix japonica -Temminck & Schlegel, 1849) OF COMMERCIAL BREEDING (Alterações anatomopatológicas em carcaças e vísceras de codornas japonesas (Coturnix japonica - Temminck & Schlegel, 1849) de criação comercial)
Gersonval Leandro Silva Monte,Daniel Grijó Cavalcante,Jefferson Bruno,Soares Oliveira,Ferreira Lima +4 more
TL;DR: Some pathological changes described for C. japonica are simliar to those described for laying hens, however, have also been described macroscopic particular injuries to this species, which suggests further research on this kind of growing economic importance.
