Journal ArticleDOI

DNA binding, DNA cleavage and cytotoxicity studies of a new water soluble copper(II) complex: the effect of ligand shape on the mode of binding.

TL;DR: Results indicate that Cu(II) complex interacts with CT-DNA via intercalative mode and showed excellent antitumor activity against K562 (human chronic myeloid leukemia) and human T lymphocyte carcinoma-Jurkat cell lines.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and application of ion-imprinted polymer nanoparticles for the determination of nickel ions

TL;DR: The prepared ion-imprinted polymer particles have an increased selectivity toward Ni(II) ions over a range of competing metal ions with the same charge and similar ionic radius and were applied to the determination of nickel in tomato and some water samples.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinetics studies of nano-structured cobalt–manganese oxide catalysts in Fischer–Tropsch synthesis

TL;DR: In this paper, a nano-structured cobalt/manganese oxide catalyst was prepared by thermal decomposition of [Co(NH 3 ) 4 CO 3 ]MnO 4 precursor, and was tested for the Fischer-Tropsch reaction (hydrocarbon forming) in a fixed-bed micro-reactor.
Journal ArticleDOI

Crystal structure, magnetic and electrochemical properties of five-coordinate copper (II) complexes with 1,10-phenanthroline-5,6-dione

TL;DR: In this article, three new five-coordinate CuII complexes, [Cu(tpy)(phen-dione)](PF6)2, [cu(phen)(phendione)Cl]PF6 and [cpy(phen)-dione]Cl], have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and UV-Vis spectroscopies and cyclic voltammetry.
