Journal ArticleDOI
Neuroprotective effects of ellagic acid on cuprizone-induced acute demyelination through limitation of microgliosis, adjustment of CXCL12/IL-17/IL-11 axis and restriction of mature oligodendrocytes apoptosis.
Nima Sanadgol,Fereshteh Golab,Zakiyeh Tashakkor,Nooshin Taki,Samira Moradi Kouchi,Ali Mostafaie,Mehdi Mehdizadeh,Mohammad Abdollahi,Ghorban Taghizadeh,Mohammad Sharifzadeh +9 more
TL;DR: In this model, EA-80 effectively reduces lesions via reduction of neuroinflammation and toxic effects of cup on mature OLGs and is a suitable therapeutic agent for moderate brain damage in neurodegenerative diseases such as multiple sclerosis.
Journal Article
Validity and reliability of the persian version of lawton instrumental activities of daily living scale in patients with dementia.
TL;DR: The results confirm that the Persian version of the Lawton I ADL Scale has excellent reliability and validity for dementia patients and it can be used as clinical and research tool for assessment IADL and determine disease progression by professionals.
Assessments of the reliability of the Iranian version of the Berg Balance Scale in patients with multiple sclerosis.
TL;DR: The Iranian version of the BBS has excellent interrater reliability and internal consistency for the assessment of MS patients when applied in clinics according to patients with multiple sclerosis in Tehran.
Journal ArticleDOI
Low, but not high, dose triptolide controls neuroinflammation and improves behavioral deficits in toxic model of multiple sclerosis by dampening of NF-κB activation and acceleration of intrinsic myelin repair.
Nima Sanadgol,Fereshteh Golab,Ali Mostafaie,Mehdi Mehdizadeh,Roghayeh Khalseh,Morteza Mahmoudi,Mohammad Abdollahi,Gelareh Vakilzadeh,Ghorban Taghizadeh,Mohammad Sharifzadeh +9 more
TL;DR: Findings highlight the pivotal role of NF‐&kgr;B signaling in the oligodendrogenesis and lesion reduction in demyelination diseases such as MS.
Journal ArticleDOI
Protective effects of physical exercise on MDMA-induced cognitive and mitochondrial impairment
Ghorban Taghizadeh,Jalal Pourahmad,Hajar Mehdizadeh,Alireza Foroumadi,Anahita Torkaman-Boutorabi,Shokoufeh Hassani,Parvaneh Naserzadeh,Reyhaneh Shariatmadari,Mahdi Gholami,Mohammad-Reza Rouini,Mohammad Sharifzadeh +10 more
TL;DR: Physical exercise significantly decreased the MDMA-induced impairments of spatial learning and memory and also mitochondrial dysfunction in rats, indicating that physical exercise could reduce these deleterious effects of MDMA through protective effects on brain mitochondrial function.
