Myocardial Stiffness Evaluation Using Noninvasive Shear Wave Imaging in Healthy and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathic Adults
Olivier Villemain,Mafalda Correia,Elie Mousseaux,Jerome Baranger,Samuel Zarka,Ilya Podetti,Gilles Soulat,Thibaud Damy,Albert Hagège,Mickael Tanter,Mathieu Pernot,Emmanuel Messas +11 more
TL;DR: Myocardial SWI has the potential to become a clinical tool for the diagnostic of diastolic dysfunction and was found to increase with age in healthy adults and was significantly higher in HCM-HFpEF patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fabry disease in cardiology practice: Literature review and expert point of view
Albert Hagège,Albert Hagège,Patricia Reant,Gilbert Habib,Thibaud Damy,Gilles Barone-Rochette,Gilles Soulat,Erwan Donal,Dominique P. Germain +8 more
TL;DR: Fabry disease is an X-linked progressive multisystemic genetic sphingolipidosis caused by deficient activity of lysosomal α-galactosidase A, and cardiovascular complications are currently the leading cause of death at a mean age of 55 years in men and 66 years in women.
Journal ArticleDOI
Assessment of left atrial function by MRI myocardial feature tracking
Morgane Evin,Philippe Cluzel,Jerome Lamy,David Rosenbaum,Slawek Kusmia,Carine Defrance,Carine Defrance,Carine Defrance,Gilles Soulat,Elie Mousseaux,Charles Roux,Karine Clément,Stéphane N. Hatem,Alban Redheuil,Nadjia Kachenoura +14 more
TL;DR: Left atrium volumes and function are predictors of cardiovascular events and it is hypothesized that adequate feature tracking applied to conventional cine MRI data could characterize LA function accurately.
Journal ArticleDOI
Left atrial aging: a cardiac magnetic resonance feature-tracking study
Morgane Evin,Morgane Evin,Alban Redheuil,Gilles Soulat,Gilles Soulat,Ludivine Perdrix,Golmehr Ashrafpoor,Alain Giron,Jerome Lamy,Jerome Lamy,Carine Defrance,Charles Roux,Charles Roux,Stéphane N. Hatem,Stéphane N. Hatem,Benoit Diebold,Elie Mousseaux,Elie Mousseaux,Nadjia Kachenoura,Nadjia Kachenoura +19 more
TL;DR: Age-related changes in LA phasic function indexes were quantified by cine MRI images using a FT technique and were significantly related to age and LV diastolic function, highlighting the LV-LA interplay, and associations of LA functional indexes with age were stronger in individuals with lower transmitral early-to-atrial maximal velocity ratio and mitral annulus maximal longitudinal velocity.
Journal ArticleDOI
4D Flow with MRI
TL;DR: An overview of the use of 4D flow applications in different cardiac and vascular regions in the human circulatory system, with a focus on using4D flow MRI in cardiothoracic and cerebrovascular diseases is provided.
