Journal ArticleDOI
Pre-emptive treatment for cytomegalovirus viraemia to prevent cytomegalovirus disease in solid organ transplant recipients
TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the efficacy of preemptive treatment in preventing symptomatic Cytomegalovirus (CMV) disease in solid organ transplant recipients and found that preemptive therapy significantly reduced the risk of CMV disease (6 trials, 288 patients, RR 0.29, 95% CI 0.11 to 0.80).
Journal ArticleDOI
Treatment for lupus nephritis
Lorna Henderson,Philip Masson,Jonathan C. Craig,Jonathan C. Craig,Robert S Flanc,Matthew A Roberts,Giovanni F.M. Strippoli,Angela C Webster,Angela C Webster +8 more
TL;DR: MMF is as effective as cyclophosphamide in inducing remission in lupus nephritis, but is safer with a lower risk of ovarian failure, and is more effective than azathioprine in maintenance therapy for preventing relapse with no increase in clinically important side effects.
Journal ArticleDOI
