Journal ArticleDOI
Cannabinoids: occurrence and medicinal chemistry.
TL;DR: A survey of the more recent advances in both phytochemistry of C. sativa, the medicinal chemistry of cannabinoids, and their distribution in plants is given, highlighting the impact that research in these hot fields could have for modern medicinal chemistry and pharmacology.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stearoyl-CoA-desaturase 1 regulates lung cancer stemness via stabilization and nuclear localization of YAP/TAZ

Cannabioxepane, a novel tetracyclic cannabinoid from hemp, Cannabis sativa L.
Alberto Pagani,Fernando Scala,Giuseppina Chianese,Gianpaolo Grassi,Giovanni Appendino,Orazio Taglialatela-Scafati +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a fiber cultivar of Cannabis sativa derived from the historical Carmagnola variety gave the novel spiranic stilbenoid isocannabispiradienone (5) and the biphenyl-type cannabinoid cannabioxepane (CBX, 6), a tetracyclic compound characterized by an unprecedented C-5/C-8′ oxygen bridge and devoid of cannabinoid activity.
