Journal ArticleDOI
Monolayer Formation in the Reduction of Nickel and Silver Ions from the LiCl ‐ KCl Eutectic
Journal ArticleDOI
The adsorption of the hexafluorophosphate ion at the non-aqueous solution-mercury interface
Graham Hills,R.M. Reeves +1 more
TL;DR: A detailed study has been made of the interface, Hg/KPF 6 solution, using the solvents propylene carbonate (PC) and dimethylsulphoxide (DMSO).
Journal ArticleDOI
The Hydrogen Electrode
Graham Hills,D. J. G. Ives +1 more
TL;DR: The potential of the hydrogen electrode is corrected to the standard pressure of one atmosphere on the basis that the electrode is in equilibrium with the measured partial pressure of hydrogen above the solution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Impedance Phenomena in Molten Salts
Graham Hills,K. E. Johnson +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the impedance of polarized platinum microelectrodes in the molten salt systems, LiCl-KCl at 400 deg C, 530 deg C. They were of magnitudes consistent with a simple Helmholtz model although the anodic values tend to be high, perhaps because of specific adsorption.
