Cristiane M. Ida,Fausto J. Rodriguez,Peter C. Burger,Alissa Caron,Sarah M. Jenkins,Grant M. Spears,Dawn Aranguren,Daniel H. Lachance,Caterina Giannini +8 more
TL;DR: It is provided further evidence that PXA‐AF behaves more aggressively than PxA and may qualify for WHO grade III “anaplastic” designation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Aquaporin-4 and Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Autoantibody Status Predict Outcome of Recurrent Optic Neuritis
Jiraporn Jitprapaikulsan,John J. Chen,Eoin P. Flanagan,W. Oliver Tobin,J. P. Fryer,Brian G. Weinshenker,Andrew McKeon,Vanda A. Lennon,Jacqueline A. Leavitt,Jan Mendelt Tillema,Claudia F. Lucchinetti,B. Mark Keegan,Orhun H. Kantarci,Cheryl L. Khanna,Sarah M. Jenkins,Grant M. Spears,Jessica Sagan,Sean J. Pittock +17 more
TL;DR: The aquaporin-4 and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) immunoglobulin G (IgG) serostatus and visual outcomes in patients with recurrent optic neuritis (rON) initially seeking treatment are determined.
Journal ArticleDOI
Impact of delay to surgery on survival in stage I-III colon cancer.
Fabian Grass,Fabian Grass,Kevin T. Behm,Emilie Duchalais,Jacopo Crippa,Grant M. Spears,William S. Harmsen,Martin Hübner,Kellie L. Mathis,Scott R. Kelley,John H. Pemberton,Eric J. Dozois,David W. Larson +12 more
TL;DR: This analysis using a national cancer database revealed a significant impact on OS when surgeries for resectable colon cancer were delayed beyond 40 days from time of diagnosis.

Surgical Treatment of Borderline and Malignant Phyllodes Tumors: The Effect of the Extent of Resection and Tumor Characteristics on Patient Outcome
Edwin O. Onkendi,Rafael E. Jimenez,Grant M. Spears,William S. Harmsen,Karla V. Ballman,Tina J. Hieken +5 more
TL;DR: With long-term follow-up, extent of surgical resection did not affect DFS for patients with borderline and malignant phyllodes tumors, suggesting these high-risk patients may benefit from additional therapeutic strategies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thrombin generation and procoagulant microparticle profiles after acute trauma: A prospective cohort study.
Myung S. Park,Ailing Xue,Grant M. Spears,Timothy Halling,Michael Ferrara,Melissa M. Kuntz,Sabtir K. Dhillon,Donald H. Jenkins,William S. Harmsen,Karla V. Ballman,Paul Harrison,John A. Heit +11 more
TL;DR: Although there was no predictable pattern of coagulopathy observed in each patient after trauma, those who reached extreme values did so relatively early after injury, and these findings should be taken into account when designing risk model tools involving coagulation laboratory parameters.
