Microencapsulation of anthocyanin compounds extracted from blueberry (Vaccinium spp.) by spray drying: Characterization, stability and simulated gastrointestinal conditions

TL;DR: In this paper, microencapsulated anthocyanin compounds extracted from blueberry (Vaccinium spp.) by spray drying using different inlet air temperatures (120, 140 and 160°C) and wall materials (maltodextrin DE20 and hi-maize) were evaluated to evaluate the microcapsule characteristics, stability and behavior under simulated gastrointestinal tract conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Validation of a multi-residue method and estimation of measurement uncertainty of pesticides in drinking water using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry.

TL;DR: A rapid and efficient sample extraction using solid-phase extraction coupled with gas- and liquid-chromatography-mass spectrometry was studied for the analyses of 124 different types and chemical groups pesticides from drinking water, finding the method was suitable for 95.2% of the compounds.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chlorpyrifos pesticide promotes oxidative stress and increases inflammatory states in BV-2 microglial cells: A role in neuroinflammation

TL;DR: Data showed that CPF exposure, at the lowest concentrations, acted by promoting pro-oxidative and pro-inflammatory states in microglial cells, providing important information on the potential role of microglia activation in CPF-induced neuroinflammation and adding to the expanding knowledge on the neurotoxicity of OP.
