Journal ArticleDOI

Reducing severe hypoglycaemia in hospitalised patients with diabetes: Early outcomes of standardised reporting and management.

TL;DR: System-based interventions had a clinically important impact on decreasing time from HGE to euglycemia and to next FS testing, and this hypoglycemia bundle of care may be applied and tested in other community hospitals to improve patient safety.
Journal ArticleDOI

A distinct association of inflammatory molecules with outcomes of COVID-19 in younger versus older adults.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated biological predictors for clinical outcomes in a dataset of 13,642 ambulatory and hospitalized adult COVID-19 patients, including younger (age < 65, n/= 566) and older (age ≥ 65,n/= 717) subjects, with in-depth analyses of inflammatory molecules, cytokines and comorbidities.
Journal ArticleDOI

Is hyponatremia associated with mortality in pulmonary arterial hypertension

TL;DR: Although the sample size for patients with sodium < 130 mmol/L is small, severe hyponatremia is associated with higher overall mortality, even when adjusting for age, FC, and baseline 6-min walk distance, and it loses its significance when adjusted for FC.
